In this section, you’ll learn how to use Cinando’s search tools to quickly and efficiently find Companies, Contacts, Films, Content, Markets, and Festivals, thanks to advanced filters and constantly updated results.
Cinando offers three main search tools:
Quick Search – to instantly find a specific item
Discover – to explore curated selections, themes, and recommendations
Advanced Search – to refine your search and explore specific categories in depth
Use Cinando's Search Tools:
- Quick Search
Use the Quick Search bar at the top right of the homepage to instantly find a specific item:
You can also search across the following categories:
Contacts
Companies
Films & Content
Markets & Festivals
For each category, you can further refine your search by selecting content types such as Film, TV Content, or Immersive:
- Discover interface
Once you’ve selected a category, click on Discover to explore curated sliders designed to highlight:
Industry trends
Key themes
Personalized recommendations
These selections help you browse content even when you’re not looking for something specific:

- Advanced Search
If you're not searching for a specific item, but rather exploring a category, you can refine your results using Search Filters.
Search filters allow you to narrow down results based on detailed criteria and discover exactly what you're looking for:
Manage the search filters
To use the search filters, tick or select the criteria in the left column of the page:
💡Narrow your search by combining different filters! For more precise results, you can combine different criteria such as country of production, company role, film genre, etc.
Save your search filters
Once you have successfully combined different filters, you have the possibility to save your research.
- Click on the 'Save Filters' button located at the bottom of the left column
- Choose a name for your saved filters in order to easily find them next time you browse the Cinando database
- Click on 'Save' once you’re done!
You can find your saved search filters in 'My Filters'.
Create and manage a list of contacts, companies or films
Go to 'My Personal Data' and click on 'Lists' in the left-hand column
- Select your preferred tab between 'Contacts', 'Company, 'Content' or 'Events' to create your list and click on the 'Add' button
- Name your list and click on 'Save':
💡To add elements to your list, launch a search by combining different search filters. Simply click on the 'Add to list' button and all the elements will be added to one of your existing lists. You can also add one single item to your lists by selecting your item and clicking on the dedicated icon on the left.

At the top left of the page, you can access the dedicated Market Environments interface:
